Go Green, 90 in 90

Go Green: Fuck flowers. Give me the cash.

re-posting that weird post to see what happens

Here’s me and Shawn again. He’s the one with the five o’clock shadow. Thanks to all the people who expressed interest in the website helper job. We’re narrowing things down and Shawn will contact everyone soon. New Jersey is still backwards.
I’m sorry I don’t have anything more interesting to report. There was a red breasted grosbeak outside my window the other day.

wut the hail?

Why aren’t the comments working on that last post? Will this work?

different…

I really hate the worry that I am having since I got my positive test… I think it is normal of course but it is hard and I had never really worried this much before…
Each time I go to the bathroom I am expecting to see blood… though I have never really had much nausea [...]

Writing and Publishing an Op-Ed

One evening a few weeks ago, I recognized one of my Reporting students in a Yahoo news story on how UO officials decided to end the university’s Ultimate Frisbee season early because players had, among other infractions, played without pants.  “Kevin,” I told him in class the next day.  “You’ve got to write an op-ed about this.”
He gazed across the table in dismay.  “I can’t,” he said.  “It’s too painful.”

Think Big, 90 in 90

Beautiful day…

The last few days have been cold here… my hands were even freezing when I went on my bike last night…  but today the weather turned and it was hot! I mean yesterday it was about 12-13 and today it was 30!
I did some things around the house this morning and by the afternoon I [...]

Daniela Sea is a QueerSpawn

It might be a name that not a lot of people know, but she is definitely a star to watch.Daniela Sea was born in 1977 the daughter of artsy/hippie parents, later her father came out as gay. An avid surfer, Daniela and her family moved to Hawaii. The inspiration of the ocean grew her stage name.

Subject and Object, 90 in 90

In gender we are both subject and object.

No Words at All

I saw this on our local news this morning and thought I should post a link to her page. I have nothing else to say about this, there just aren’t any words at all for this.
Little warning that the pics aren’t very nice to look at.
Cammy’s story

Hey Ya'll!

So I've decided my life is too boring for a blog. There is nothing going on with us. I will have some very exciting news to share next week, but I can't say much more than that just yet.Hayden is teething, and is having a much harder time with it than J did...so he's been pretty puney the last few days. He has one that has come thru but he's working on some more. He's crawling everywhere and chewing on everything he can get his hands on. He still loves his sister and is very tolerant of her love, as evidenced by the photos below.

The Soul, 90 in 90

Say not, “I have found the path of the soul.” Say rather, “I have met the soul walking upon my path.”
For the soul walks upon all paths.  (Kahlil Gibran) The soul walks every path.

Take two…

Last weekend I spotted a bit….

DOES LOVE EXIST IN THE 20'S?

Yesterday I was amusing myself by perusing various ads on Craigslist (and no...not for sex!) when I came across a post with the above headline. At first, I dismissed the validity of this question as being arbitrary at best, fucking retarded at worse. But then someone happened. Over the course of the next several hours, that question kept popping up in my head...Obviously, the answer to said

Summer comes too slow.

Hey, it's May! Although you wouldn't know it since last night there was a frost and WE TURNED THE HEAT ON. It was May 18th. I kept saying that. "It's May 18th! And the heat is on! MAY 18TH!!!" Ugh, New England makes itself very hard to love sometimes. Meanwhile people on Twitter are complaining about their 90 degree temps and it is not their fault but I kind of want to crawl through the computer and strangle them. Or just sit next to them in the sun, I guess that would be nice too.

a special reminder to vote NO in the special election

Tuesday, May 19th is a special election here in California.
The props are confusing and involve lots of taxes, money and the overall state budget.
Both the League of Young Voters and the SF Bay Guardian agree:
Vote No on 1A - 1F

Beauty...

This was taken with my new phone, and I love the quality. Yes, it's still a phone camera, but it'll do in a pinch!I love her so much!

OJ Simpson is a QueerSpawn

Lets face it. In order to be a community you need all different types. OJ is definitely one that evokes controversy, but still had quite the impressive record up until 1994. While that record maybe tarnished with bad decisions, it is still important that we are honest and straightforward in who is part of the community.Orenthal James (OJ) Simpson

Grace #13 The Internet

I don't care whether the internet was created by Al Gore or an MIT thinktank, I think it is the greatest invention of my lifetime. I use the internet daily to find out everything from ways to use baking soda to finding a home. I know there are many issues with internet safety, and as my 10-yr-old gets more adventurous online these things loom larger on my horizon, but I think that used properly, the advantages of the internet far outweigh the disadvantages.

NEW BLOG URL

This URL will be gone forever soon. My new blog is at ericgelberblog.blogspot.com. Everything that appeared on the two previous incarnations of EAGEAGEAG, the entries and the comments, are now posted on the new blog. So nothing is lost, except for my anonymity. I think it is better to have everything I do associated with my real name.

Writing a Libretto

As an undergrad at the College of Creative Studies, U.C. Santa Barbara, I shared literature classes and wonderful walks on the beach with Merie Kirby, who now teaches Literature at the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, Minnesota.
When she’s not teaching, concocting delicious meals, and raising her daughter, she writes poetry and librettos for operas.  I conducted the following interview by e-mail with her at the beginning of May.

Anthologies

I’m honored to have an essay alongside the work of so many fine writers in the new anthology Who’s Your Daddy? and Other Writings on Queer Parenting, edited by author and activist Rachel Epstein.  The book has just been released; you can order it from your favorite bookseller or directly from Sumach Press.
